Who maintains it

This site is built and maintained by one practicing California civil litigator. The full attribution — name, State Bar number, and practice context — is being finalised and will appear here.

Until it does, weigh what is on this page accordingly: the verification method below is described in full and every rule links to the statute it came from, so you can check any number yourself without taking anyone’s word for it.

How the rules are verified

Each rule value — the period, the triggering event, the unit, and whether a service extension applies — is read against the current statutory text on leginfo.legislature.ca.gov and checked against Westlaw. Court holidays are validated against the published Judicial Council calendar rather than derived from statute alone, because the two have disagreed. The last full pass was July 24, 2026.

Review cadence

A full re-verification pass at least annually, plus a targeted re-check whenever a cited section is amended or a published decision construes one of the open questions. The verification date on every calculation tells you how current the values are; if it is more than a year old, the site says so and you should check the code yourself.

Found an error?

Report it and it gets fixed. A wrong date on a deadline calculator is the only bug that matters here, so error reports go to the front of the queue.

What this is not

Not legal advice, and using it creates no attorney-client relationship. It is a calculator maintained by one attorney, not a docketing service, and it does not know your case, your department, or your judge’s standing order. Verify every date against the operative code sections before you calendar it.
